CAS(E) this Sketch #218

Over at CAS(E) this Sketch #218 seems pretty simple at first but I had to think of what I could do to that center strip.

I definitly wanted to get inky and new my Tim Holtz Distress Inks would do the trick.

This is just a little clip board that I have a page protector clipped over it.

I put a little adhesive in the center to adhere my water color panel on to it.
I am using the color Broken China on the bottom and middle.

Darker on the bottom.
Salty Ocean on top and blended into the middle.

Darker on top.
I added bigger spotches of water the first time.
Waited a few minutes and used a tissue to sop it up.
I went over the splotches ever so lightly with the ink because they were pretty bright.
This time I used littler splotches barely any water.
I stamped off then onto the inside panel of the card.
All Done.

I dry embossed the background and added little fish stamps on the water color panel.

I heat embossed the sentiment in white.

CAS(E( this Sketch #217

The sketch for CAS(E) this Sketch #217 was pretty challengeing for me but I think I pulled it off.

I took from the Sketch the points from the grassy image and used Christmas Trees.

I a using an array of inks from Stampin UP.

Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Pacific Point, and Perfect Plum.
I tested spaceing on a scratch sheet of paper first.

Took three trys before I got it right or close as I could.

Using the Hampton Art Stamp Perfect tool.

Right after I stamped I quickly put Clear embossing powder on the image and heat set it.

I let it cool and then used my anti static tool to continue inbetween each color.
I stagerd the trees ever so slightly.

Look at the texture and fun shine.
Since my paper was a little warped I used the Stamp Perfect tool again to stamp my sentiment.

It worked the first stamp.
I used some Tombow Mono Liquid glue right along the edge of the trees.

I also put some Fun Foam on the back of the tree panel.

This way I was able to tuck the glitter paper just a little bit under the panel.
I decorated the inside of the card as well.
Finished Card and front of the Envelope.

Global Design Project #083

The Global Design Project #083 challenge is to bling it out.

I am not a huge fan of Gems and Glitter on my card, the Gems because they add bulk and the Glitter only if it is not loose.

I am using my Hampton Art Stamp Perfect tool to get the perfect placement and just in case I need to stamp more then once.
I ended up using the same color but stamping the center tree a few times to get a darker shade.

I am testing to see if the ink is dry before I emboss it.
This is a layering stamp set from Hero Arts.

The second layer of the tree I embossed in a Silver Pearl powder.
Useing my anti static tool between each embossed layer.

I used Opaque Bling for the third layer.
Using the stamp perfect tool to stamp the sentiment twice.
It is easy to cut Fun Foam on your paper trimmer.

Just go back and forth a few times and then it is easy to rip it right down the cut line.
I am using double sided tape to adhere the Fun Foam on the panel.
Just using a regular block to stamp on the inside, the same three layers just inked one time each with the same colored ink.

This stamp block is a Fiskars block that is new and comes in a four pack.
Finished card and envelope

Close up and to see some of the shimmer.

Papa Help Me Part #2 of the Bird Seed Ornament Scrapbooking

This will be the final addition to the Bird Seed Ornament scrapbook section in our life in pictures 2017 album.

Its a 12X12 traditional layout.  I used this SKETCH from pinterest for my inspiration.

This amazing Bird Builder punch that I have recently fell in love with again will be retireing at the end of May 2017, Sad Face.

I used some heavy weight brown card stock and Vellum card stock along with some Designer Series paper to cut out the pieces.

A black pearl from my stash for the eye.
I tried to pull colors from the photo.

I challenged my self to mainly use pattern paper and I did.
Its very simple to cut fun foam on your paper trimmer.

Just go back and forth with your blade a few times and then fold in half and pull apart.

Easy Peasy and cheap lift for your photos and elements.
Use some double sided tape or strong adhesive to adhere the fun foam to your project.

I try and match the color to the project but white and cream will always do if you do not have the color you need.
Not too much pop off the page, just enough.

These are all retired Designer Series Papers from Stampin UP.
I attached the Vellum to the back of the birds with a little bit of Scotch tape.
Using some Tim Holtz distress paint to paint on these Little Yellow Bicycle canvas alpha stickers.

The blue pictured was way to bright I ended up going with the color Broken China.
I left this part in but altamitly tore it apart after I was done because I did not like how it turned out.

Covering my photos and useing the same Broken China paint I decided to add some splaters along with some black paint.
 Nope do not like it.
Nope still do not like it.
Thankfully with Stampin UP DSP you get two of each sheet so I was able to cut apart my project and start again.

As I was cutting I saved the yellow and white pieces and glued on top of a new pattern blue piece.

All I had to re cut was the green and purple piece.
I decide to go with two clusters instead of the paint splaters.

I used enamel dots and wood veneer pieces.

I also used a yellow copic marker to color in the heart.
 Close up.
 Close up.
All done.

 Close up.
This is the first two Project Life/Pocket Style scrapbook pages that will go in front of this 12X12 layout.

Bird Seed Ornaments Project Life Style Layout

I made a Project Life Style layout of when my girls created some Bird Seed Ornaments for their Teachers for Valentines gifts.

- I also made a short You Tube video with my phone, CLICK HERE to see it.

Here are the Photos I am going to use.

I am using a Becky Higgins Design G page protector.
This X-ACTO corner rounder is my tried and try when rounding corners for my Project Life Style Layouts.

Came from Walmart.
Letting my Fuse Tool warm up because I am making a Bird Seed shaker pocket to add some interst and fill up a space I had no idea what to do with.
Let that tool heat up for a good 15 minutes before use.

And make sure to use a correct work space when fuseing.
I just used an exacto knife to smooth out my matt.
Traditional lined paper and a brown Project Life pen to write out a Recipe Card.
Bird Builder punch and some tape to adhere the leafs to the back.

I put this on foam.
 I made a T by using an L and Z.

Hey it worked.
 Making sure placement works.

Good Old Fashion Wax Paper.

American Craft brown Thickers, Sn@p alpha stickers, and some wood alphas from my stash.

 Finished Bird.

The pattern papers are from Stampin UP, some Retired Designer Series Paper.

The solids are Heavy Weight card stock from Hobby Lobby, their brand.
 Finished card.
I reinforced the BIRD alphas with some Tombow Mono Liquid Glue and used that same glue to adhere the wood alpha letters.
The Sn@p Studio alpha stickers have some phrases on the bottom so I used them threw out the layout on the photos.
These small Puffy Heart stickers I recently purchased from Micheal's match the Sn@p colors perfectly.
I used them on the B side of the layout.

I just wanted the DONE part so I cut it off.
 Finished A side photo.
 Finished A side photo.
I took two project life cards and cut them down to make one.

I liked the leaves from the main one but needed a journaling spot too.

A line of glue and the same orange paper from the A side.
Again the matching Project Life brown pen.

I added some Thrift Store twine near the seams to give the card some texture.
I found the Sn@p Studio alphas were the perfect size to add the date to the pot part of this filler card.
