Quick Tip #1

I just hate opening and closing the plastic baggies that stamps and dies come in and other sorts of scrap booking/card making goodies.

I have really been trying to organize/rearrange/go threw/purge my craft room so I can be better a better crafter.

My girls, Lexi age 4 and Miss Pivia age 16 months have a little living room adjacent to my craft room, I am also working on redoing that so they can better play and be occupied so I can play in my craft room too.

I am recently into the Dies and Stamp combos and have gotten some over these past months. NEW addiction as my hubby calls it.

Here is a way I found to store one of my Combos.

This is the Lawn fawn Summer Time Charm dies/Stamp set I just got yesterday ;).

These are adhesive backed magnetic sheets from Walmart, 2 in a back.

An empty CD case.
I measured the inside panel of the CD case and cut it out of one of the magnetic sheets.

Peel off the backing, FYI very sticky.

Apply to the inside of case.
Had to pre occupy Pivia, I moved my chair to the middle and she would push it around and chase it.

Good for 15 minutes of fun.
She's checking out underneath.
Trying to say in baby talk, 1 2 3
Scrap card stock I stamped the matching stamps to dies

Using washi tape I put the framelets/dies on top and ran them threw my cuttle bug.

1. Big white plate
2. C plate
3. paper/dies
4. B plate
that's my combo
This is what the outside looks like. I put the name of the die/stamp set also the die cut images and the back has the other stamps that go with the set. Attached with ATG tape. The dies are on the inside. I also used a Sharpie on my stamp set and wrote that I have the Matching Dies that go with it.

Sketch Challenge #1

First time for me to participate in a sketch challenge.

I dont have many pictures of my process because my original idea didnt pan out and i didnt want to retake picture of what I did, so I just crafted without the pictures of the how's she do that.

Entering my card at 365 Cards

I used Recollections paper in a pale pink and a pale orange/cream color.

I used Stampin Up Pretty In Pink ink and a sponge wedge to ink around everything, I also ran the sponge over the top of the embosed background.

I believe its a Cuttle bug embossing folder.

The ribbon is a Micheals celebrate ribbon.
I used my bone folder and flattened out the flowers along the ribbon so it would adhere better to the pink mat.

The dies I used are from My Creative Time with Emma.

The hello stamp is inked with Momento Tuxedo Black ink, its from a Stampin up stamp set.

I pop dotted the hello and also the banner that is layered on the top banner.

Close up of the banners and inking.

Close up of the hello stamp.

Simon Says Card Kit (card #1)

This is the card I made from my February Card kit.

I stamped out my sketch on a scratch piece of paper.

                                         Here's my finished card
                                                                   Inside of the card.
                                                                 Side view of the card.
                                                                Laying my pieces out.
                                                                              Close up.

I used patterned paper from the February kits to stamp the dresses on and cut them out, after I cut them out I used a black marker to hide any extra white places from when I cut out the dresses.

I loved these 2 pieces of patterned paper because my 4 year old loves stripes and polka dots.

I masked off the string of heats, covering the heart part with tape and stamping in black Staz on ink and vice versa for the hearts in a Stampin up in.

The white thread is from the January Card kit.  I also put the 2 dresses on foam adhesive.

I corner rounded the bottom of each of the paper and attached the layers with adhisive.

The pink and craft paper is either from the January or February kit.

I am adding this card to their blog Simon Says February Card Kit Gallery

Entering this little sweet bee mine note card in the Anything Goes challenges over at Simon Says Stamp
Finished card

Side view, I used Staz on Jet Black ink.

They Bakers Twine is from American Craft in a yellow color, I used a glue dot to hold the bow down.
This little heart punch I got for Christmas from my mom.

All paper is from Recollections.

I also used up scraps.
Testing out Glossy accents and Crystal Stickles on a scrap piece of card stock.

I use the need to keep my glossy accents from clumping, also keep one in my desk bin to unclog my Stickles.
Inside of the card also stamped with Jet Black Staz On ink
Lawn Fawn stamp called Bee Mine.
Recollection's brand water color pencils.

First time trying, did something very simple.

Below I was testing out which color to foe stitch with around my card.

Gotta love scraps.
